I’ve finally caught up with the times and my aim is to become a fully-fledged blogger!
I must admit, this task daunts me more than writing a book. You see, I’m new to the whole ‘blogging’ thing and I was (reluctantly) coaxed into it by my hubby – “you should write a blog!” – Wait. What?!
I found myself wondering if anyone would be interested in what I have to say. Then I found myself biting my nails, wondering what on earth I would write about. Then in my own unique thought processing system I thought, why the heck not?
Why not give it a go? What have I got to lose? Nothing. But I have a lot to gain. It may even help when I inevitably find I am fixating on mundane, but equally fascinating (to me anyway) questions and ideas.
So here I am. My thoughts, although usually relatively normal, can vary to random in the blink of an eye, or in this case, the typing of a word. I hope I can keep you entertained, give you interesting dialogue and thought-provoking subjects to mull over...
Anyway, as you can tell, I like a wide mixture of horror. Horror books are something I have in abundance and i love being caught up in the story from the safety of my sofa, love the feeling of dread when the scene is set and you just know something is going to happen. So that is what I keep in mind when I write my books. And yes, I do end up scaring myself at times when I am writing.
Horror is what I love and for those who love it too, I would be very interested to know what it is exactly that draws you into scary stories, whether it’s the more gore, the better, or it may be that, like me, you don’t have to see something to be frightened. Maybe like me also you are just a little twisted (as I have been described in one of my reviews for The Haunting Within) and you like the plight of the characters. Either way, whatever it is you like or don’t like, feel free to let me know, after all its good to talk :)
